Verdict

After victories in a Leicester maiden and the Fred Darling at Newbury, MOONSTONE MAGIC was fancied for the 1000 Guineas but finished tailed off behind Homecoming Queen. Ralph Beckett wouldn't be sending her for this unless convinced that she was over whatever ailed her and she can start making up for lost time on ground that will suit. Viztoria has to be a major threat as she followed victories at Naas and in a Listed contest here with a cracking effort in a Group 2 at Maisons-Laffitte and several entries in top races suggest she's held in high regard. Caprella had some strong form last season but has only won once while Infanta Branca ran poorly on her return though she would have a good chance on her early form last year.
