In depth

Verdict

Few of these enter the fray in any sort of form though that doesn't apply to HATTON CROSS, who beat a big field at Naas last month before just failing to defy a 6lb rise at Fairyhouse. He doesn't win very often but looks to have been given another opportunity here. Oliveraie made a fair handicap debut here in August and Pat Smullen has been booked again so he's one to note as is Clear Focus, who has been running well without quite getting there from her very lowly mark. The three-year-old Prance has more scope than most of these and isn't overburdened for her handicap debut but Elusive In Paris is better over further.
