Verdict

Shintoh battled to the line when runner-up to Rose Hip in a Listed race over 1m1f at Leopardstown and should be better served by today's trip over which he was a close third behind Jan Vermeer here last month. After twice finishing runner-up to Fame And Glory, though well beaten on both occasions, RECHARGE deserved his place in the sun when scoring over a mile in a Listed contest at Leopardstown. He has no problems with the longer trip and will be difficult to beat and looks to have the measure of Precious Gem, who stepped out of a handicap to narrowly land a Listed contest over an extra furlong at Limerick. Grand Admiral found 1m5f much too far after scoring over two furlongs less on the Polytrack while Carazam hasn't been seen since landing a Tipperary maiden almost a year ago and may need this.
