Verdict

Adrian McGuinness has won two of the five renewals including with Bubbly Bellini a year ago, though that was on very heavy ground. Joe Eile, who finished runner-up, won't mind the quicker conditions nor will Nero Emperor, who just failed to catch My Good Brother over the minimum trip here last time. The latter pair are much respected as are Kiss The Stars, who finished third, and fourth-placed Sassaway, who was staying on at the finish. Wexford Opera finally came good when making all over 7f at Gowran and doesn't look badly treated but in a wide-open handicap it's the three-year-old MACHETE MARK, who has been in front at today's distance in very tough handicaps over longer trips recently, who is given the nod under the excellent claimer Colin Keane.
