Verdict

KING OF WANDS won a Listed race in 2010 before producing an even better effort when third in the Lonsdale Cup at York behind Opinion Poll. That was the last time he was seen at the track but John Gosden looks to have found him a good opportunity on his return as only Eternal Heart looks in the same class. The latter found life tough in pattern races last season having started the year with a hat-trick of victories in lesser company and he's got a bit of catching up to do with the selection, though not as much as Junoob who carries a penalty for winning a Listed race at Lingfield last month with Tappanappa behind. Hawk Mountain and Just Lille are readily overlooked in this sort of company.
