Verdict

Most of these look capable of picking up a run-of-the-mill maiden so this is no easy start for punters. We've come down in favour of BASTION, who showed much improved form to chase home Mayaseem over 6f at Pontefract last time and will be suited by the extra furlong. Paradise Watch, third on debut at Lingfield, is respected and Tawtheeq was only a length-and-a-half behind subsequent winner Plover when third at Newbury in May. Godolphin run Gold Hunter and Life Partner but the former returns following a lengthy break and the latter is making his debut, as are Cruising Along and Snap Music.
