      Verdict

POLITBUREAU was second in one of these at Hamilton two weeks ago under Becky Smith and should again beat fifth Surround Sound. Micky Hammond's reliable gelding is fancied to go one better at the main expense of penalised Thirsk winner Hot Spice, though anything that Serena Brotherton rides in races like this has to be taken seriously. Bowdler's Magic has been showing glimpses of his old form and jumper Call It On should be thereabouts following his second at Chelmsford. Tijori was just beaten at Chepstow last time and is another to consider along with Shadows Ofthenight.
