Tartiflette bids to repeat last year's victory but the ground could prove a problem on this occasion. Tariq Too will handle the going but overcoming a 12lb hike for an easy win at Newbury will be tough and Kyllachy Rise remains 9lb higher than when scoring at Chepstow in September. Favourite Treat is not easily dismissed back on testing ground while Magistral finished ahead of Myboyalfie when runner-up at Newmarket last Saturday. LILAC LACE made all in heavy going at Newbury a fortnight ago to win by a couple of lengths. Despite a rise in the weights, Tim Easterby's filly may well do the same again with the underfoot conditions in her favour. Showboating and Levitate are others with a shout.
