SUD PACIFIQUE was beaten 17 lengths on his only previous try over 1m4f. But the ground was very holding at Ascot that day and the way Jeremy Noseda's colt stayed on over 1m2f up the Beverley hill last time suggest he'll have no problems with the longer trip on this easier track. He can send Frankie's supporters home in good cheer. Swift Alhaarth has been knocking on the door and is only a pound higher than when a close third to Barbican at Ascot last week. He seems sure to be thereabouts again while Midnight Oil has already won twice over the trip and wasn't disgraced off his new mark at Newmarket a fortnight ago. Joseph O'Brien's claim wipes out York third Prompter's weight rise and he has the beating of Agent Archie on that run, but Tepmokea and Dansili Dancer are best watched after a couple of months off and Picture Editor has his stamina to prove.
