In depth

Verdict

Both William Buick and James Doyle would have struggled to do the weight on White Light so Gerard Mosse steps in for the ride of the Godolphin filly. She was no match last time for Sun Maiden, however, and that one’s trainer should know where he stands with Drifting Star, very green on debut at Newmarket. Pirate King never threatened when third at Bath but has each-way claims again. James Fanshawe runs two and Pegasus Kid is a half-brother to two winners but the four-year-old DEEP SEA is by leading sire Deep Impact and can start making up for lost time by landing this.
