        Verdict

        Firmdecisions went close at Yarmouth before disappointing at the same track last month while Ghalib was runner-up on the Turf course at Lingfield but never figured over track and trip last time. Explain has been raised 8lb after romping home at Chester recently but is still preferred to Newmarket winner Redgrave, who is upped in class along with last week’s third at Chepstow, Athassel. FIREFRIGHT (NAP) couldn’t get to the winner when third at Sandown last time but won his maiden over course and distance back in April. Jeremy Noseda’s three-year-old still has scope for further progress and gets the nod.
