      In depth

      Verdict

Corridor Creeper can defy topweight at the expense of Malapropism, Caribbean Coral and Dazzling Bay to name but three. Corridor Creeper was beaten by Malapropism when they met at Musselburgh last week but there was a stone between them on that occasion. Milton Bradley's charge is now set to carry just four-pounds more, and despite the fact that the latter has suddenly hit a rich vein of form, weight will stop a train and the Channon bandwagon may be derailed now. Caribbean Coral in turn was unlucky in running behind Corridor Creeper at Newmarket earlier and is closely matched at the weights. It is always a nightmare trying to work these things out to the pound, especially when you have to weight up the ground conditions as well, but all three mentioned should play a leading role. Dazzling Bay has found life tough since going up the handicap, while last year's winner Smart Hostess is not in the best of form at present. Whitbarrow ran very well in the earlier Musselburgh race won by Malapropism, but his stablemate Corridor Creeper is taken to come out on top.
