    Verdict

Another very competitive heat with most of these exposed performers and we will take NACARAT to land the prize, while Our Jasper, stablemate Corlande and Beggars Cap are all respected. Tony McCoy partners the selection, who was last seen out running into the frame behind Private Be at Exeter on the testing ground he loves. This trip is ideal for him, any more rain would definitely be to his advantage, and the champ can hopefully help to get him home on front. Our Jasper and Corlande both represent the in-form yard of Donald McCain and both have claims here. The former has winning course form to his name, albeit over shorter, and while he is competitive from this mark he might just find a couple too good over this far unless the ground dries out. Corlande won't have any problems getting home in these conditions and has a nice racing weight here, and although he won from the same mark of 119 over hurdles he is 9lbs higher than his best winning mark over fences so he has a bit to do. Beggars Cap handles soft ground but looks better when he can hear his hooves rattle and he has so far been unconvincing over this trip so we will take him on. Edmo Yewkay has his conditions and is looking better handicapped now, so don't rule him out at a decent price, Rebel Rhythm seems to have lost his way but would be thrown in on his best form, while both Lord Jay Jay and Its Crucial need the handicapper to relent. Nacarat can come home in front.
