Verdict

REGARDEZ was beaten less than a length at Nottingham at the start of the month and a mark of 79 would normally be enough to win an ordinary back-end maiden. None of today's rivals have any fancy entries so Ralph Beckett's filly is taken to open her account at the fourth time of asking. Layla's Red Devil was third at Musselburgh earlier this month and Joys Of Spring was fourth at Leicester when running green and is entitled to show improvement. Arabian Beauty carries Godolphin's first colours while the Giant's Causeway filly Telegraphy may be the pick of Ed Dunlop's pair. Broughtons Secret appears to run well in hot company at Newmarket last time but may have been flattered.
