Rufford is the form pick on his close second to stablemate Supplicant in the Mill Reef on soft ground at Newbury but he didn't live up to that form at York last time when Brave Boy finished in front of him. Both are well exposed unlike Stubbs, who looked very smart in his earlier races and started favourite for the Coventry Stakes but didn't run his race. Aeolus was a wide-margin winner at Chester before landing a tough York nursery in fine style but those who witnessed the impressive victory of NIGHT OF THUNDER on ground with some give at Goodwood won't want to miss him and he can make sufficient progress to take this.
