Mazovian is out of his league here and Trade Storm's form doesn't quite hold up to that of the remaining pair. Azrael won twice over today's trip last season, including a decent nursery at Newmarket, and finished a respectable third in a mile handicap here on his seasonal debut. He's a consistent sort and looks sure to make a bold bid but CODEMASTER is just preferred. The winner of a Newmarket maiden, he found only one too good in the Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar in October and Henry Candy's charge should have too much class for his chief rival here.
Azrael 8-1 (9-7) Tracked leaders, switched left over 3f out, ridden and effort over 2f out to over 1f out, no extra when not much room approaching final furlong, kept on to go 3rd near finish, no impression with leading pair, 3rd of 9, 2 3/4l behind Belgian Bill (9-4) at Doncaster 1m 3yo hcp 0-95 (3) gf.
