Bosco Di Alco showed potential in maidens and didn't stay 3m on his handicap debut at Galway. Dual bumper winner MOUNTAIN ROCK has been a short-priced beaten favourite in his last three starts but hasn't been beaten far and this looks his trip after just running out of steam over 2m6f at Downpatrick so he gets the nod. Thermistocles won a 2m4f Roscommon bumper in July then found 2m on the short side in a similar race at Tipperary while Blue Empyrean and Creadan Grae represent Gordon Elliott and both have shown enough to get into the action. King's War has had nine starts over timber without winning but has gone close on several occasions so it will be a surprise if he's out of the frame.
