Verdict

Macville won the previous race on the card last year before finding 2m4f on heavy ground at Leopardstown in December beyond her and she hasn't run since. Oscars Well was in brilliant form last season winning two Grade 1s before a superb effort behind First Lieutenant at Cheltenham where he would have finished much closer but for almost coming down at the last. He hasn't raced since and could just need this handing the initiative to THE REAL ARTICLE, who stepped into Grade 2 company at Tipperary last month to beat a strong field comfortably. The four-year-old Kalann is progressing but these are much better rivals than he's faced so far, though he was impressive on fast ground at Cheltenham last month.
