Verdict

Definite Ridge beat King Malik, who runs in the previous race, over C&D last month but has been raised 12lb for that success and will find this a tougher test. Romanesco's win at Ffos Las in May came over fences and he was well beaten back over hurdles at Perth two weeks ago while it remains to be seen if Paudi The Punter can reproduce the form of his second at Kilbeggan. HIGH TALK is a regular here and all three of his career victories have come at the track. He didn't enjoy the soft going here last month but still only found one too good and will be a different proposition now that the ground has dried out a little. With Derek Fox taking off 7lb, the eight-year-old can return to winning ways as Harangue may find this coming too soon after another modest effort at Down Royal on Friday.
