Empress Of Tara was leading at this trip before being run out of it close home by Civil War when tackling 1m4f here in September. Oh So Lucy had some strong juvenile form and made a reasonable reappearance in April but hasn't been seen since and may just need the run for her new yard. FIRETHORN made a very encouraging debut at Naas in May and was made a long odds-on chance at Cork the following month but could only finish fourth. He was found to have spread a plate post-race and didn't enjoy the soft ground so compensation awaits. Highland Miss ran well over this trip on heavy ground at Roscommon last month so it was surprise to see her drop back to a mile at Cork a few days later. The superbly bred If Or When started favourite when making her debut on heavy ground at the Curragh last month but couldn't handle the conditions and should do much better.
