Verdict

Sampers is a standing dish around here and had both Bank On Black and Big Typhoon behind when scoring over C&D two runs ago. Gary Carroll is good value for his 3lb claim aboard the top weight and another big run is expected. Flash McGahon was a fair second at Cork last time off this mark, finishing ahead of Patrickswell and Liberty Island, but his losing run now stretches back more than four years and he lacks the scope of THE GREY REBEL. This is the latter's first tilt at the minimum trip but he showed a lot of speed when scoring over 6f at Cork last month and the drop in distance promises to suit.
