In depth

Verdict

Mutasareb has gone up an incredible 34lb since his winning run began in November and was caught in the shadow of the post by Tribes And Banner over 1m4f two weeks ago. Confidence and Strandfield Lady, who occupied the minor places, look held but Elizabeth Coffee has run three good races since her handicap mark was raised following her victory in November. Prince Of Fire is better known as a chaser but had the pace to beat subsequent winner Gort Na Mara here a couple of weeks ago while False Economy also looked promising over fences when beat Four Commanders at Limerick in October. Aragorn Rouge has suddenly decided to take the bit between his teeth and won very nicely here last time but trainer Eddie Lynam also has a strong hand with SPIN OF A COIN, who was having only his second start since July when a close third here last week and should be fit enough to gain his first success on the surface.
