In depth

Verdict

This is a moderate claimer but official ratings suggest STRATEGIC FORCE (NAP) is well in and he can gain his first success for new connections. A dual winner at Kempton for Clive Cox, he hasn't been beaten far in better company than this in his starts here and looks the one to be on. Zylan is next best in and was only half-a-length behind the selection here last week though was receiving 7lb which suggests he has plenty to do. British Art should a bit of promise for Paul Cole but ran poorly on his debut for new connections here in October while Meddling has joined Denis Hogan after scoring twice at Lingfield for Julie Fielden. It wouldn't be a surprise to see the latter run well while Torpedo Alley looked a certain future winner on his opening runs here last spring before losing his way on Turf later.
