Alvar has had 16 career starts, all but two on this track. He's won twice but was hit with a 10lb rise for last month's success and couldn't quite cope on his latest start. Tamujin has now gone a dozen starts without winning but came very close when runner-up to Cookie Crumbles a fortnight ago. He's been handed a 3lb rise in the weights and may not be capable of coping with DOONARD PRINCE. Liz Doyle's charge caught Sophies Echo in the dying strides over 7f last month and was staying on strongly over that trip on his latest start two weeks later. He looks well enough treated to go in again though Stoichkhov, who finished just in front of him last time, has to be a threat.
