Newmarket-based handler Phil McEntree sent PEARL SPECTRE to Lingfield a couple of weeks ago for a much better race than this and the six-year-old made all under an enterprising ride from Josie Gordon. He's only 4lb higher and the long journey can pay off. Geological has been in fine form for most of the winter and gained his third victory earlier this month. He's gone up 5lb but Donagh O'Connor's claim takes care of the extra so another big run is anticipated. Shannon Soul comfortably beat the latter over a mile last month but looks better over that trip and has been raised 7lb. Ishebayorgrey has won twice here this winter but looked in the grip of the handicapper last time and Split The Atom's recent victory came in a claimer.
