Verdict

Captain James Cook started odds-on for his debut at Tipperary in October but never gave his supporters a hope. As a son of Montjeu he should do better in his second season as did his half-brother Always First, a Grade winner over 1m4f in the USA. BEHTARINI is the obvious form choice having finished runner-up to Ballydoyle's subsequent Group 1 winner Jan Vermeer at Gowran in September. He disappointed on his return over 1m2f at Leopardstown but today's trip should be much more beneficial to this son of Dalakhani whose dam was a Listed winner over 1m3f. D'Addario made a very promising debut behind Reiteration at the Curragh before getting bogged down in the mud at Cork.
