Verdict

Sir Danilo earned a rating of 80 after a close second to Asking here last March but failed to build on that on a return visit the following month and he hasn't run subsequently. Duke Of Waspington was having his first start in almost a year when a very good fourth over the track and trip last month so he's one to note. Epsom-based Adam West sent Emerald Cross on the long journey to Newcastle where he defied a big SP to finish a neck behind Warm Oasis so he's one to note while Golden Poet has won a bumper, though failed to score in nine starts over hurdles. He's performed well in his two starts here including over a trip too short a fortnight ago when The Phantom Punch, who started favourite on the back of a promising introduction, could only finish fourth. UNCLE HENRY went unfancied on his debut last month but was up with the pace throughout and wasn't far behind two experienced rivals so looks the one to beat.
