In depth

Verdict

Reckless Lad is top-rated here despite not having won for almost two years. He was beaten in a similar race here last November but has five victories on the track. NEW STORY, who is 4lb lower, won a couple of races on Turf in the UK and though finishing last on his only Polytrack start it was in a Group 3. Denis Linehan's claim gives Eoin Doyle's charge the edge and he's handed the vote though Thomas O'Malley has been placed in half of his eight starts on the track and hasn't been running badly over hurdles. Sierra Law hasn't raced over a trip this short since arriving from Sweden and Six Silver Lane is a standing dish around here including when landing a handicap last month while Look Closer improved over hurdles in the spring and wouldn't need much more to get involved here.
