In depth

Verdict

Noble Call has the form to land this and ran very well behind easy winner Fairy Court last week but he's now had 32 career starts without winning and can hardly be trusted. General Bunching has been running poorly but he's won twice around here which, in the context of this event, puts him in the picture. Shabra Emperor is the other course and distance winner in the line-up and isn't badly treated, despite a big weight, but Clare Harrier's two track victories have been over a mile. Winning hurdler Toretto has had very little experience around here and The Frog Prince is still a maiden after 24 starts. A chance is taken on THEFIDDLEROFDUNEEN, another maiden who is slightly better off for a narrow defeat by General Bunching last season and open to more improvement.
