Tom Dooley won this a year ago and, though not in the same kind of form, is on a lower mark and shouldn't be dismissed. Voyageofdiscovery doesn't win very often but has been in excellent form recently, though has a very big weight to carry. Alans Pride won over the track and trip last month and started a short-priced favourite three weeks ago but didn't have the pace for 6f. Twistsandturns was behind him in that earlier race but Arlecchino's Rock is gradually dropping to a mark he should be capable of winning from and has been racing over trips too short. ANNAGASSAN has never won but showed improved form in December and followed that with her best-ever run last week where she led for a long way over a mile. With her young rider's claim again a plus, she's taken to gain her first victory.
