Verdict

RECKLESS LAD had Maontri a long way behind when runner-up to Political Policy here last week and, as that winner completed a double here on Wednesday, the form looks strong enough for him to get back on the winning trail despite the drop in trip. Chestnut Fire was making his all-weather debut when a comfortable winner earlier this month and though the assessor has reacted with a 9lb rise he's on the upgrade and won't go down without a fight. Strategic Force scored twice over 6f at Kempton for Clive Cox and will be better for last week's run for new connections and while the remaining pair are not in the best of form both have victories over the track and trip to their credit so shouldn't be dismissed.
