Verdict

OCEAN APPLAUSE was probably unfortunate to come up against an in-form rival when second to Aryal at Beverley, his third successive runners-up spot. He's only won once in 29 starts on Turf but is handed the vote to see off Who's That Chick, who has a penalty for her victory over a mile at Brighton on Tuesday and has never won beyond that trip. Jakey won a course and distance maiden in September but has raced exclusively over 1m4f this campaign, scoring at Windsor in April. Lilac Tree's two victories have been on Polytrack but he's well enough treated to produce a good run as is Cravat, who would appreciate the ground drying out more than most.
