COURT PASTORAL was the subject of good reports when making a winning debut at Windsor and will be forever remembered as the last winner to be trained by Sir Henry Cecil. The front two were well clear that day and, with improvement likely, the Mount Nelson filly can preserve her unbeaten record off a fair mark on handicap debut against more experienced but exposed sorts. Kelpie Blitz was much improved the last day when second to Cashpoint at Sandown, clearly benefiting from a reappearance run. He should go well round here having a Brighton success on his CV. Assizes has topweight but has yet to score since making a winning debut back in October 2011 but he's down to a career-low mark and looks a threat. Frozen Over was just behind Kelpie Blitz at Sandown and definitely enters calculations, especially when taking into account a gutsy Newmarket success on his previous outing.
