    Verdict

A fascinating little contest can go to Cupid's Glory, who has an obvious chance at the weights and is just preferred over Jedburgh and Suggestive on these terms. That is not to dismiss the claims held by Cesar Beware, who was entitled to need the run on his reappearance considering the string of setbacks he has suffered over the last year or so. Henry Candy has always thought the world of this son of Daggers Drawn and, despite being unproven at the trip, he should be capable of making his presence felt now that he has got the benefit of a seasonal run behind him. It will also be noteworthy to see how Magical Romance fares now that she is dropped in trip. Last year's winner of the Cheveley Park Stakes has sound claims on the pick of her juvenile form but has some thing to prove in taking on colts for the first time. Prince Of Thebes is in good heart and, as he is far less exposed than most, he could be the surprise package of the race. However, he does look up against it in this company and has a bit to find on balance. Jedburgh had a narrow verdict over Suggestive when they met at York last month and is likely to be tight between the two again today. However, Jedburgh has proved to be the more consistent to follow and he is fancied to give the selection the most to do. Nevertheless, Cupid's Glory has already proved to be useful at this level and, after his narrow defeat in a French Group Three last month, he is expected to relish the ease in grade today.
