        Verdict

        Copperwood will probably try and make all here but similar tactics were employed at Southwell last time and didn't come off. He is probably a few pounds too high in the weights at present. Maverick just failed to hold off Konstantin over 7f at Folkestone last time but the extra furlong here is a bit of a worry and more interesting is Whitby Jet, who is gradually edging towards a decent mark. MAY BE SOME TIME won over track and trip last month and went down with all guns blazing at Leicester subsequently. He looks to be an improved performer this year and can recapture the winning thread, though the three-year-old Xinbama can't be ignored.
