Verdict

Raise You Five's run in the previous race should be a pointer to the chances of PLINY, who lost out narrowly to Jonjo O'Neill's novice at Southwell last time. Venetia Williams' seven-year-old can go one better here at the main expense of O'Neill's Aztec Treasure, who swerves a penalty despite scoring twice over fences in handicaps at Towcester before the turn of the year. Oscar Prairie has won over hurdles and could appreciate the step up to 3m having failed to justify favouritism over 2m5f at Warwick in January, but the lightly-raced Mr Bennett is probably best watched on his first start over the larger obstacles while Upham Atom has been well beaten in his two runs over fences so far.
