Takotna looks like the one to be on in this final race, with Lady Pilot and Phardessa among those with a chance. Takotna was a fast ground Taunton winner last time but her pedigree suggests that she will also act with cut, and this trip looks to be ideal. Her yard's runners continue in form and she can score. Lady Pilot is sent here by Jim Best, whose runners may just have gone off the boil since she won at Lingfield last month and with a penalty to lump around she is no good thing, though this longer trip may help. Phardessa acts on the ground and over this trip and will be straighter after a recent run, but Richard Phillips' runners are still not going too well so she is opposed. Pure Genius has claims if she can step up on a good Newbury run last time, and bumper winner Blue Speedwell will be interesting if supported, but Takotna gets the nod.
