In depth

Verdict

Rupert Lamb won a bumper and a novice hurdle in minor company in the UK but looked in need of further experience when beaten a long way on his chasing debut. Western Leader, a dual winning bumper and successful at Grade 2 level over hurdles, is a smart recruit to chasing and is definitely one to keep an eye on but GOLANBROOK looks the one to be on. He was a decent enough hurdler but looks better over fences if his two recent runs are a guide and it was a very good effort to finish close behind Canaly in what looked a strong event here last month. Knockgraffon King has been well beaten so far over fences but has the potential to do better and shouldn't be dismissed.
