King Of The Refs is still a maiden over timber after nine starts but his turn isn't far off as he showed with a fine run behind Ros Brin at Leopardstown. A 4lb rise won't help his cause but his rider can claim 5lb and a big run is anticipated. Station Lane created a shock when scoring at Down Royal a couple of weeks ago but she'd been in contention when falling there on her previous start and is obviously on the upgrade. Winning point-to-pointer Dog Barrel Hill was having his first start over hurdles when scoring at Limerick and there's more to come from him as there is from Lookoutnow, though his hat-trick attempt may be foiled by an 8lb rise for his latest victory at Thurles. The assessor has taken exception to CLASHNABROOK's easy victory over 2m4f here and raised him 10lb but such was the ease of that success that he's probably still ahead of the handicapper and can complete a quick double.
