In depth

Verdict

All eyes will be on MIKAEL D'HAGUENET as he makes his long-awaited chasing bow. A brilliant novice hurdler with three Grade 1's and a pair of Grade 2's to his credit, Willie Mullins' charge is thrown straight in at the deep end for his debut over the bigger obstacles, but if successful in style here could be the next star chaser to emerge from Ireland. Realt Dubh and Head Of The Posse have looked potentially high-class in their novice events but the former was beaten a long way by the selection over hurdles at Cheltenham. Jessies Dream is improving at a rate of knots and looked a nice prospect when comfortably taking care of Corskeagh Royale at Galway on his reappearance.
