In depth

Verdict

The day's feature, a new race for the track, has attracted a decent field but a few of them may end up feeling dizzy after several circuits of this sharp course. Only a length separated Thomas Wild and Finish The Story behind Any Currency at Cheltenham last month and both have realistic claims in this, though the former looks closely matched on collateral form with both Prideofthecastle and Harry The Viking. King Massini and Nail 'm definitely have the form to figure but this may be too hot for the luckless Grove Silver. Morney Wing and EMERALD ROSE are the only previous course winners in the line-up and Julian Smith's mare could be worth an interest in this if Mark Grant can get her switched off sufficiently to see out the trip.
