In depth

Verdict

This appears to be a decent opportunity for PIN CUSHION to open her account and she's preferred to Mount Acclaim and Admirable Duchess. Brian Meehan has just hit form and he has found a good opening for Pin Cushion to shed her maiden tag on her sixth visit to the racecourse. She has upwards of 11lbs in hand of her two rivals with official ratings and the other pair don't appear to be anything out of the ordinary whilst she shouldn't have any problems with either the trip or the ground. Admirable Duchess is no forlorn hope as she beat all bar the progressive Jigajig at Wolverhampton but she'd meet Brian Meehan's filly on significantly better terms in a handicap and is hard to recommend as a result. Mount Acclaim was rather green on debut when 10 lengths behind the 80 rated winner Poppy Seed and she could pose problems to the selection if progressing as anticipated but the percentage call is Pin Cushion.
