APOLLO D'NEGRO started favourite for Ascot and Newbury maidens on his initial racecourse appearances, posting decent efforts to finish third and fourth. However, it was rather disappointing that he failed to build on that subsequently, but he could well start the new campaign on a tempting mark as a result and is given a chance to prove that assumption following another winter on his back. Speedfit Girl enjoyed a pleasing first season and should give another good account despite carrying topweight, while Queen Of Cash has travelled well on Fibresand, suggesting that she'll handle any cut in the ground.
