Verdict

Irish import Joe Soap has failed to complete in his last three starts either in a hunter chase or in a point-to-point but he is better than those runs would suggest and cannot be discounted but a better bet looks to be MORE TROUBLE, who gets the vote ahead of Nessa. Philip York's mare has run better since going between the flags and the yard's runners are always to be reckoned with in this company so she has to be on the short list. Captain's Legacy has failed to complete on his last three starts under rules but has shown some ability in recent starts between the flags, although more solid claims are held by Lord Snow. The former Irish pointer has shown improved form since joining current connections and the nine-year-old has obvious claims under rules for the first time in 1234 days. The Tailor Carey has been running creditably in points of late and he is another worthy of a mention but preference is for Alan Hill's More Trouble, who has shown some decent form over regulation fences before and comes into this having shown a decent level of form in points as well.
