      Verdict

Stratton Banker disappointingly found one too good at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening in what looked a weaker race than this and he is probably best left out of calculations despite the good form of runners from the yard of Stuart Williams. Jim Best's Pocket's Pick has been running well of late and has claims under his big weight but a draw in stall seven is not ideal so a better bet looks to be GUTO. Bill Ratcliffe's gelding has found one too good in each of his last two outings and he looks worth backing to go one better today racing off the same mark as when narrowly beaten at Brighton last time as he is well drawn. Stamford Blue is only 2lb higher than when scoring at Bath three runs ago so cannot be discounted, while Captain Kallis should be thereabouts again.
