Verdict

Former pointers Opening Batsman and Financial Climate are short-list material in this finale while Gores Island, La Belle Sauvage and Miss Milborne have already displayed ability in bumpers. The latter's second to Baby Shine at Huntingdon in February arguably being the best form on offer. But a couple of newcomers also catch the eye in this with Velator being a half-brother to classy hurdler Bellator. BUDDY BOLERO is a full brother to the smart Finger Onthe Pulse, however, and can make a winning debut for David Pipe if inheriting some of his sibling's ability.
