In depth

Verdict

Brendan Powell has found SHOREACRES a wonderful opportunity to get his hurdling career off to the best possible start. The hurdles apart, he may have most to fear from Royal Rationale and Postmaster. Brendan Powell's imposing gelding is an exciting recruit to novice hurdling and should be able to win this as he likes providing that he shows some aptitude for hurdling. His bumper form is in a different world to these as indicated by his fourth in the Cheltenham Festival bumper on his latest outing. Postmaster is a veteran of six runs and he should be able to pick up some prize money here but it's hard to envisage him opening his account. Royal Rationale has already picked up two races and that pair will be hoping that they can put their hurdling experience to good use and find the selection's Achilles heel but it's impossible to look beyond Shoreacres for the winner.
