Verdict

POUNGACH ran poorly in the Grade 1 Feltham at Kempton on Boxing Day but had won nicely at Haydock before that. Paul Nicholls' charge can pick up the winning thread back at this level. Shoegazer is another dropping back into a more suitable grade having failed to figure at Cheltenham last time and he has a shout along with Bangor winner Tenor Nivernais, who unseated on his latest start. Orvita has won over hurdles at this track but is hard to fancy on his chasing bow in this company and Scampi Boy hasn't raced since 2010.
