Verdict

It's more than two years since Amazing Valour appeared over fences. He isn't badly handicapped on his best form but has had his problems lately and may be best watched until showing signs of a revival. CAPTAIN BECKET is only a pound higher than when successful over hurdles at Taunton in March but was tailed off in a three-runner race at Exeter nine days ago and his jumping often leaves much to be desired. He did, however, finish a long way in front of Ballygulleen over C&D last month so, with veteran Kappellhoff usually needing a couple of runs to put him straight, could prove the best of a modest bunch today.
