    Verdict

Dermot Weld quickly puts blinkers on Impound, who looked in need of the run on his debut over 6f at Naas last month and ran accordingly. He'll leave that form behind but it's THE VATICAN who is handed the vote. He wasn't expected to get close to his stablemate Flying The Flag at Leopardstown a month ago but really took hold of the bit in the closing stages and stayed on very strongly. The extra furlong is just what the Galileo colt needs here and he should take this. Sugar Boy has been showing up well and there was plenty to like about his second to King George River at Gowran while the Ballydoyle newcomer Leading Light is a Montjeu colt and a half-brother to several winners.
